Chemical Safety, Education, & Publishing

At the Mankad Group, we take pride in setting a high standard for chemical safety, especially given the inherent hazards of synthetic organometallic chemistry. We are equally committed to advancing inorganic chemistry education at UIC through continual improvements to both classroom and laboratory instruction. Beyond research and teaching, PI Neal Mankad actively supports the broader inorganic chemistry community in his role as Associate Editor of Dalton Transactions, the flagship journal for inorganic chemistry research from the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Below are selected publications that highlight our efforts to improve chemical safety, pedagogy, and scientific publishing. While we do not host researchers working exclusively in these areas, these themes are deeply embedded in our group’s culture and practice.
